On April 10, Changan Qiyuan officially announced the launch of two new models. The first is the mid-to-large sedan—the new Qiyuan A06—offered in two variants priced at RMB 109,900 and RMB 119,900. The second is the compact SUV—the new Qiyuan Q05—also available in two variants, priced at RMB 89,900 and RMB 95,900. In addition, a LiDAR-equipped special edition of the Q05 will debut at the Beijing Auto Show. Detailed pricing is provided below.

New Model Highlights — Qiyuan A06

As a model-year update, the new Qiyuan A06 sees limited changes in overall styling. The front fascia adopts Changan’s “Fuguang Aesthetics” design language, featuring a seamless full-width light bar composed of 236 LED elements, supporting customizable lighting effects and dynamic animations. A new “Glazed Blue” exterior color and additional finishes are also introduced.

From the side, the vehicle features a sleek roofline and incorporates multiple low-drag elements such as frameless mirrors, frameless doors, and semi-hidden door handles, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.205. The rear design echoes the front, with a diffuser-style lower section and a subtle ducktail spoiler, enhancing its sporty appeal. Dimensions measure 4,885 mm in length, 1,916 mm in width, and 1,496 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,922 mm.

Inside, the cabin adopts a wraparound cockpit design, equipped with a 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. It is powered by the MTK8676 (4nm) automotive-grade chip, delivering computing performance comparable to Qualcomm’s 8295 platform. The 510 Pro+ version adds an electric tailgate and 18-inch low-drag wheels, while OTA updates bring features such as the Tianshu intelligent tire blowout stability system and a snow driving mode.

In terms of driver assistance, the standard configuration includes five cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and five millimeter-wave radars. Higher trims add a LiDAR unit and additional sensors, enabling advanced features such as highway navigation assist and memory parking.

Powertrain options include both pure electric and range-extended variants. The range-extended model features a 1.5L engine, offering 240 km of pure electric range and over 2,120 km of combined range. The pure electric version is built on an 800V SiC platform, delivering 510 km and 630 km CLTC range options, and supports 6C ultra-fast charging—charging from 30% to 80% in as little as 9 minutes.

New Qiyuan Q05

The new Qiyuan Q05 adopts the “Digital Flying Wing 2.0” design language, offering multiple exterior color options. The 506 Pro+ version upgrades the driver seat with enhanced adjustability and comfort features, while the 506 Max+ adds a panoramic sunroof with an electric sunshade.

The side profile features sculpted body lines, hidden door handles, and aerodynamic wheels. At the rear, a full-width taillight and distinctive spoiler design enhance visual depth.

Inside, the vehicle features a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display and a 10.17-inch digital cluster, along with an 8-speaker audio system. Dimensions are 4,435/1,855/1,600 mm, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. The LiDAR edition is equipped with a LiDAR sensor, multiple radar systems, and a Horizon Journey 6M chip delivering 128 TOPS computing power.

It also supports Huawei HiCar 3D vehicle control and smart home connectivity with ecosystems such as Midea and Haier. The powertrain offers CLTC ranges of 405 km and 506 km, with support for 3C fast charging.

Competitors:

The Qiyuan A06 competes with models such as the BYD Qin L and Geely Galaxy A7, while the Q05 targets rivals like the BYD Yuan Plus. Both models stand out with competitive configurations and advanced intelligent driving features.

The Qiyuan A06 enters the market with strong competitiveness, combining rich features and aggressive pricing. Meanwhile, the Q05 appeals to consumers with its value-for-money positioning and advanced smart features. Together, the two models are expected to expand Changan Qiyuan’s market share.
