On April 28, 2026, Deepal officially rolled out the OTA V5.2.0 update for the Deepal S09. This update delivers comprehensive improvements, ranging from driver assistance and smart cockpit functions to driving experience and in-vehicle interaction.

This OTA introduces a range of practical enhancements to the infotainment and interaction system, significantly improving convenience and comfort in daily use.

The display now lights up instantly upon entry, eliminating wait time. A new feature enables the screen to wake automatically when any of the four doors are opened after the vehicle is locked and powered down, ensuring a seamless start to every drive.

Voice control for windows has been enhanced for better usability. When the window lock is enabled, users can control rear windows via voice commands. If not enabled, the system provides guidance, making interaction more intuitive.

A new child seat lock function has been added, preventing accidental operation of second-row seat controls and improving safety for family travel.

The center console now supports one-touch adjustment with preset positions, allowing quick switching for work, rest, or storage scenarios.

Additional refinements include optimized fog light activation via voice or manual control, as well as clearer display of remaining data usage.

The scenario customization system has been upgraded, enabling scene sharing, multi-scenario execution, and expanded customization options for a smarter user experience.

The driver assistance system has also been upgraded to enhance safety. The Sentinel Mode now supports automatic activation and seamless OTA updates, ensuring uninterrupted protection.

A new rear-view assist function allows drivers to quickly access rear camera views via steering wheel controls or the central display, improving visibility and safety.

The priority of AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) voice alerts has been increased, ensuring more timely safety warnings.

In terms of comfort, the AR-HUD now displays clearer information, including a persistent time display. The climate control memory function has also been upgraded to maintain preferred settings across different modes.

Driving modes have been refined to deliver smoother and more comfortable driving dynamics.

The OTA upgrade process has been improved for better system stability. A new low-temperature pulse heating function for the battery enhances performance and range in cold conditions.

The Deepal Smart App has also been updated (version 1.9.1 and above), introducing features such as customizable layouts, integrated Bluetooth and remote control functions, improved vehicle notifications, and enhanced Bluetooth key management—further elevating the overall user experience.
